The Central Jersey Robotics Group

Robot Madness Day was a yearly event held in the Central Jersey area since the 1st of June 2000. The event catered to robotics enthusiasts in general that came to show off what they have been working on lately and to compete in various contests. The event went on for years now and brought many people interested in this field to the Central New Jersey area. Starting out as a high school show, it grew into something incredible with people gathering from everywhere to attend. The 2006 edition featured 3 contests: Line Following Pursuit, Robot Dance Contest and King of the Tabletop. There was also be an exhibition portion to the show, all for the entertainment of the attendees.

Other than pure fun, the goal of Robot Madness Day was to raise public awareness of the importance of math and science education in high schools in the region, to develop an appreciation of engineers and their work, and to encourage students to consider careers in science and technology fields.

The seventh annual Robot Madness Day 2006 was held on Saturday, May 13th, it started at 9:00 AM and lasted until around 4:00 PM.
