The yearly Robot Madness Day held in Central New Jersey gathered numerous attendees along the years. Since it started on June 1st 2000 as a high school show it grew into an important event, bringing in robotics enthusiasts from all over the Jersey area and beyond.
People who usually attended Robot Madness Day were interested in showing off what they had built over the past year and entering the competitions available at the event. But there were a few rules that generally applied to robotics contests and the Robot Madness Day ones as well.
The most common rules were those concerning time limitations, space limitations, different surfaces, walking on lines, avoiding obstacles, full autonomy and last robot standing. The little creations were also usually judged on programming, construction, costume, choreography, creativity, originality, and entertainment value.
